Hormone panels
Physician-guided evaluation that may include testosterone and thyroid markers when clinically appropriate.
A real relationship with a physician double board-certified in family medicine and preventive medicine—without waiting rooms, rushed appointments, or surprise visit bills.
Direct Primary Care, or DPC, is a simpler way to have a doctor. You pay one flat monthly fee for defined primary-care services and direct access—without billing insurance for included care.
Your membership supports longer conversations, continuity with the same physician, and convenient virtual care. DPC is not insurance; it works alongside coverage for emergencies, hospital care, specialists, and services outside the membership.
True Balance brings a proactive, root-cause lens to primary care. When your history, symptoms, and goals support it, Dr. Murtuza can look beyond a basic panel and use more detailed laboratory testing to guide a personalized prevention plan.
Testing is selected—not ordered by default—and eligibility is determined during a clinical visit.
Physician-guided evaluation that may include testosterone and thyroid markers when clinically appropriate.
ApoB, Lp(a), and other markers that can add context beyond a basic cholesterol panel.
Deeper evaluation may include hs-CRP and markers related to insulin resistance.
A practical plan built around your own results, risk factors, and clinical picture.
Three principles shape every membership: easier access, prices you can understand, and care grounded in your full health story.
Unlimited telemedicine visits and secure doctor messaging are included in every membership.
Clear monthly rates, published visit prices, and no per-visit copays for included care.
More time to understand your history, goals, medications, and the bigger picture.
Start with a no-pressure conversation. If the fit is right, choose the membership that matches your needs and begin care directly with Dr. Murtuza.
Ask questions and learn how the practice works before making a commitment.
Select Foundation, Complete, or Household Plus based on your care needs.
Schedule virtual visits and stay connected through secure messaging.
Membership turns common primary-care needs into a predictable monthly expense instead of a new charge each time you need help.

Meet Dr. Murtuza and see whether True Balance is right for you.
Dr. Tameem Murtuza is double board-certified in family medicine and preventive medicine. His work spans longitudinal primary care, preventive medicine, addiction medicine expertise, clinical leadership, and the education of future physicians.
He previously served as Medical Director at Eva’s Village in Paterson, New Jersey, and brings leadership experience with the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM). He formerly taught at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine and currently serves as a clinical preceptor for Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine and the University of Guadalajara medical school.
I chose direct primary care because excellent medicine needs time—time to listen, understand the whole person, explain the options, and build a plan together. Virtual care removes the waiting room, but it should never remove the relationship.
Every membership includes unlimited telemedicine visits, secure doctor messaging, prescription management, and access to discounted cash rates for labs and imaging.
For healthy adults who want easy, predictable access.
For adults managing ongoing conditions.
For two adults and up to three dependents ages 18–26.
Direct primary care membership covers the defined primary-care services listed for your plan. It does not replace coverage for emergencies, hospitalizations, specialists, or services outside the membership. Lab and imaging facilities bill patients directly.

Virtual-first primary care for adults, with attention to prevention, ongoing conditions, acute concerns, and selected physician-guided wellness services.
Convenient visits for common health questions, medication concerns, follow-up care, and the issues that benefit from a physician who knows your history.
Annual preventive planning, health-risk review, screening priorities, lifestyle guidance, and practical next steps tailored to you.
Ongoing virtual support for chronic conditions, medication management, lab review, care planning, and specialist coordination when needed.
Prompt virtual evaluation for appropriate acute concerns. Some symptoms, examinations, testing, or treatment require in-person or emergency care.
True Balance offers a proactive, root-cause-oriented approach within primary care. That can mean looking beyond standard screening labs when a more detailed evaluation is clinically relevant—an approach informed by the kind of deeper testing many patients associate with functional medicine, without treating every number or symptom in isolation.
Your history, current symptoms, medications, family risk, and goals shape which tests are worth considering. The purpose is to create a more complete clinical picture, not to promise a diagnosis or outcome.
When clinically appropriate, testing may include testosterone, thyroid markers, and related laboratory measures. Results are interpreted alongside symptoms, medical history, and the risks and benefits of any next step.
ApoB, Lp(a), and other selected markers can add information beyond a basic cholesterol panel for some patients. Testing and follow-up are based on individual risk and clinical judgment.
Selected evaluations may include hs-CRP and markers related to glucose regulation or insulin resistance when they can meaningfully inform care.
Your results are reviewed in context, then translated into priorities for nutrition, activity, sleep, medication, monitoring, or referral when appropriate.
These services begin with a real medical evaluation. Treatment is never guaranteed and is offered only when clinically appropriate and lawful.
Individualized hormone care begins with a clinical visit, careful history, appropriate laboratory evaluation, informed consent, and a plan for ongoing monitoring.
Eligibility is determined during a clinical visit. Prescriptions are subject to federal and state requirements and physician judgment.
When lawful and clinically appropriate, a physician may discuss peptide-based options alongside risks, alternatives, and the limits of current evidence.
Compounded peptides are not FDA-approved for promoted uses. Eligibility is determined during a clinical visit, and prescribing remains subject to federal and state law.
Ask what can be handled virtually and whether True Balance fits your care goals.
DPC is a membership model in which patients pay a predictable recurring fee for defined primary-care services and enhanced access. True Balance does not bill insurance for care included in the membership.
Insurance is not required to join, but DPC is not insurance. Many patients maintain separate coverage for emergencies, hospitalization, specialists, and services outside the membership.
You meet with Dr. Murtuza by secure video from a private place. He will review your concern, discuss next steps, and arrange follow-up, prescriptions, testing, or in-person care when appropriate.
Virtual care is currently available to adults physically located in Illinois, New Jersey, Ohio, Alabama, or Connecticut at the time of care. More states are planned as licensure expands.
Every membership includes secure physician messaging. The appropriate response method and timing depend on the medical issue; emergencies should always go to 911 or the nearest emergency department.
The membership includes clinical review and access to discounted cash rates for labs and imaging. The facility performing the test bills you directly.
Prescription management is available when clinically appropriate. Every prescription is subject to physician judgment and applicable federal and state requirements.
Dr. Murtuza can help identify when specialty care is appropriate. Referral and specialist coordination are included in Complete and Household Plus memberships.
Membership terms, including cancellation timing and any annual prepayment conditions, are reviewed before enrollment so you can make an informed choice.
